African Black Soap (Approx. 1lb per bar)

For centuries, Ghanaians (West Africa) have used Black Soap to help relieve acne, washing hair & scalp, oily skin, clear blemishes and various other skin issues. Great for removing make-up. Black Soap will leave your skin soft, clear and smelling delicious. This soap is not scented. Black Soap or African Black Soap comes from plantain skin. It is a natural source of vitamins A & E and iron.

BUYER BEWARE: FAKE BLACK SOAP is hard & dyed black. It does not contain any traditional ingredients and is loaded with cheap vegetable oil. Black soap exposed to elements like air will have a thin white colored film. This film is not mold, it is vegetable glycerine mixed with the absorption of water from the air.

***BLACK SOAP INSTRUCTIONS

Break your bar of black soap into several pieces. Black soap should not be exposed to excess water; it will last longer if you use individual pieces for separate uses. The crumbly soap should break apart fairly easily.

Moisten the soap by wetting your hands, then rubbing the soap between them. This will make the soap "firm up" and hold together better. Do not run the water over the soap.

Wash your hair and scalp with the soap. Do not run the actual soap through your hair, as it will cause the ends to split and break. Instead, lather your hands with the soap using warm water, then wash your hair with the lather. Work the lather through your hair and massage your scalp to ease itching and flaking. Rinse your hair with water.

Facial Cleansing: Use lukewarm water to produce a lather on your hands. Smooth the lather over your face. Use your hands or a washcloth, but do not scrub your face. The black soap will help clear your complexion without exfoliation. Rinse with lukewarm water. Pat dry and follow with our 3 in 1 Healing Oil or our Raw Shea Butter.
